Grenfell

Grenfell

A Poem by Adam Parker
"

Grenfell tower fire

"
Fire , fire all around
people leap from buildings,
fling their souls from roofs,
because they cost money,
money out of pockets.

Grenfell tower , sardines in an oven
the working class , the minorities-
incinerated.
one man said he wish he never woke,
those sleeping in their beds,
so they could die blissfully unaware,
of the negligence bestowed on them.

Kanye west said :
Bush doesn't care about black people ,
I saw May doesn't care about poor people.
Poor people who cost money to keep safe,
I hope she chokes on her silver spoon ,
and pays in the fire of her actions.

They tell us not to politicise this
which means :
"I don't want to be blamed for my negligence "
Private landlords who covers the poor in £10 million glitter,
make them sparkle for the rich around -
yet no sprinklers to put out a fire
or alarms to put out a sound,
disgusts me to the core,
class warfare isn't long gone ,
but here to stay forever ,
as long as we are oppressed.
