Red Squirrel

Red Squirrel

A Poem by Adam Parker
"

Comparison between the fate of the dead squirrel and native populations under imperialism

"
Introduced in Victorian England, a plague upon both houses it hounded with disease ,
it's inferior species that of different colour,
Vanquished and vanished in vein disproportion ;
distortion of numbers around.

Peace before proposes arrival ,
the survival of the habituates immense and long lasting ;
but they seized the means of production , green nuts.
They spread the disease in which they were no longer susceptible ,
a crucible for change in the plains of Britain ,
I wonder if it means more .

The red squirrel dies out while the grey thrives in its land ,
the American cray fish is 30% bigger and can withstand much more ;
is this a metaphor for the white man and the Han?
Who implore their tactics onto sand and terrain ,
move into the territory of xinjiang
Tibet North America,
the Middle East.

They spread their disease to those already there ,
natives smother their babies and die horrible deaths ,
so our disease race could suckle at the breast and instil gods sound.
As time progresses it is clear,
that we are the pilgrims at the thanksgiving fiest,
and we dine on Red Squirrel, plenty to go around .
