DarkA Poem by Adam Parkera poem about sadness + its messages+ how to overcome it
Dark
In the darkness i wish to be numb no part of it, abstract and distant I wish not for sorrow nor fun only recuperation in an instant. I wish for blank walls and no windows I want it pale and bleak and shallow for me I see the waves, their crash and flow I accept their turmoil with glee. In the darkness i wish for lonely company my conflation of longing and solitude I wish for a hand to put a gun to me In my modest non-sexual nude. I see her in the moonlight always, her secluded profanity that is mine she guides me through the forest haze illuminating my path with her shine In the darkness I wish for the light I wish for the end of the tunnel to appear I struggle in my cryptic secret and flight I put down my gloves, its near. In the dark you will find the light that you thought so abundant before bind your hands, put up a fight and eventually you'll reach the shore.
