Choose Me

Choose Me

A Poem by Adam Jordan Turner
"

Sometimes we have to be a little selfish

"

Choose Me

If you're feeling confused

or facing any trouble

I can guarauntee you

my confusion is doubled

I don't know why

you're the only one I see

To you I may be but a thought

but choose me, choose me

If you're feeling lost

veered off course by games

I can promise you

I'm feeling the same

If you're experiencing doubt

and why is hard to see

I can't tell you why,

just choose me, pick me

If you know I deserve you

and know you want me

But you don't know how

these feelings can be

There must have been no choice

our lives simply agreed

Think no more, my love

pick me, choose me

I understand you're comfortable

and pleased with what you have

But you could have me too,

until I'm solely yours at last

This is unlike myself

to agree to take back seat

But I would sit back seat with pride

If there's hope you'll choose me

I'm bearing my soul,

I'm bearing it all

Let me leave this moment

Somehow standing tall

I've given you my word

It is my final plee

I can not say why it's right

I can only say, choose me

This poem is a tad bit wordy, but it has a beautiful message behind it. I encourage you to keep at it. I loved the sentiment. I could relate to the agony of wanting someone to choose "you." xo-D.E.
