Grand OpeningA Poem by Adam Jordan TurnerGrand Opening
Welcome all and thank you for coming While I have been waiting, my hearts have been drumming The beat of the drum to let you in To show you the prizes I've given to win
Here lies a heart, and there lies a soul The soul was my own, the heart I stole I stole it from one who let it sit idly An idle heart is far too enticing
While you are here finding your joys Do not let your heart become my new toy If you choose to love, do it wisely You know the tales of the heart sitting idly
As for the soul of which you see Yes, it is true, it belonged to me I left it alone to lay on the floor It suffers from love that is no more
You see I do not do love I do not do tears I do not do sorrow And I have no fears
I search all day I hunt at night I dare my prey To propose a fight
You see there was no fight Not for my love This planted in me An Ill natured grudge
Now I steal hearts To handle the care When I am finished You know I've been there
In your memory You seem to hold A meeting with the man... Who bore no soul
You tried to show him love You tried to show him care However his receptors Seemed to not be there
Stuck, you place your heart On a dreadful hold It is precisely then Where I capture my goal
I warn you now Carefully and tidily Do not leave your hearts Sitting still idly
No portion of love nor mountain of gold Could dare reach the man Who bares no soul
Come one come all I welcome you in I'll bring you great joys In my imporium of sin
But if you should lose All is lost You enter my world At your own cost
Remember the tales The stories have been told You've been given fair warning From the man with no soul © 2008 Adam Jordan TurnerReviews
