her smile

i have a friend who is always sad and i was thinking of her when i wrote this

the world seems to stand still

when that girl begins to cry

the tear drops ring thru the hills

the birds feel no reason to fly

but when this girl starts to smile

and the world begins to move again

it makes the pain all worth while

and when the sunrise begins

it sees that smile and runs away

not because it was scared

but because it was ashamed

cus it saw how her smile flared

and the world will never be the same
