Mirror

A Poem by Ada

I remember how, as a kid,
the ball would always bounce back,
coming to me after hitting the wall"
simple, safe and predictable.
But now, I’m a mirror,
reflecting everything you throw at me,
each fragment of yourself
mimicked in ways I can’t decipher.

I think this is a lovely way to describe the maturation of mind. It's not always pleasant, we must refine ourselves now to get a good ball back.
