Selfish PoisonA Poem by AdaJust because you’re done drinking their poison? But you were the one who encouraged the first sip
right? You were the one who said it tasted fine. You were the one who came back, Sipped again and again. You were selfish, You thought it’d make you stronger? Or did you think the high would last longer? Just keep taking it in now, Until you lose all your fight. You made a promise Don’t you dare be a liar. Why do you do things for yourself? Think about the poison, the way it feels. I know it’s slowly killing you But you leaving, would kill me. If not for yourself, Do it for me. If you can’t choose yourself, Then maybe choose me. © 2024 Ada |
