It ends in a whisperA Poem by adakaiadark poetry about climate change, the end of the world, and death.
I.
The inevitable death Rebirth has gone askew Seasons pass, and skies darken, Don’t ask the scientists, They all went mad. Oppressed by a system Persecution- how ironic Was this all someone’s plan? To violate us all at once Leaving us stranded, the classless masses Clueless and yet still to blame Is it an illusion in the mirror? You turn around and find a crack A gaping hole in the fabric of space entropy snuck out of his kingdom And into our domain And yet Earth spins madly on, Reclaiming her place in the stars All the wiser, from the problem children It is in the vast and empty marina of space That we realize, no1 was watching For no1 cared. II A watch that ticks to your internal rhythm. Death knocks on the door thrice At the first knock a warning The second, a series of vivid flashback The sweet sadness and a dose of DMT And then back to the sweet nirvana Music in the distance; Tap dance with me Toil away until time becomes transient Follow endless repetitions, time loops And die with me slowly, on the watches’s time hang plastic trinkets, ward off the demons And most importantly, try to enjoy the dance © 2017 adakaiaAuthor's Note
