Teddy McFizzle's Hair

Teddy McFizzle's Hair

A Story by Johnathan Smith
"

This is a work in progress.

"

Teddy McFizzle always had lots of hair. When he was born, he had so much hair that the doctor didn’t have to wrap him in a blanket.

As Teddy grew, so did Teddy’s hair. The taller Teddy became, the longer his hair was.

Cutting it, was useless The next day it would be as long as it was before it was cut, an inch or so longer most days.

By the time Teddy was three years old, his hair was six feet long. By the time Teddy was four years old, his hair was eight feet long!

Doctors couldn’t explain it. They looked at all the charts and knew the normal growth of hair was six inches a year. Teddy’s hair was growing twenty- four inches a year.

They tried special shampoos made of fruits, bugs, and penguin oil. They tried hair removal creams made from the most remote areas of the earth. Instead of solving Teddy’s hair problem, they only made things worse. Nothing worked.

Teddy didn’t mind. By the time he was six years old, Teddy had come up with some pretty neat uses for his hair.

(I'm trying to come up with more alphabet uses for hair lol)
Aerobics

Basketry

Crochetting (Unfortunately, not many people liked hairy pot holders.)

Deep Sea Fishing

Earmuffs

Fruitcake Throwing

Gopher Wrangling

Halloween Costumes
Jumping Rope

Lion Taming

Mountain Climbing

Ruler
Swinging
Thermal Underwear

This is cute, kind of has a Shel Silverstein feel to it. I'd like to see it finished someday!

hmmm....interesting.... but for a kids book, you have some pretty long words that they might know the definitions to. What age group is this book for?
