A Drowning SoulA Poem by Morning StarA Drowning Soul My
broken soul wanders through fields Of
green grass, Pine
trees, tinted flowers surrounded By
the mountains delicate beauty, their eyes Gazing
at me embracing my broken heart, on this Cool
windy day My
soul strolls, my heart weeps My
soul is drawing in Solitude God
I’m grateful for that one glorious day I
met and married the man Chosen For
me in dreams of yesterday Though
he was nearly grasped from me as darkness Invites
desire treachery Invades
with intent to terminate My
safe haven I
love him more than I love life I’m
praying that he loves me half as Much
as I love Him My
heart it’s dying piece by piece day by day Unruly
duplicity images remain flashing In
the tunnels of my Mind Nightmare
keeps haunting me Night
and day Trying
hard to forget I've sheltered the gates Of
raw visions, Sorrowful
memories, inserted Within
my soul upon Life’s
journey Ambling
here conversing with self, God
I’m asking Why
was I born into a life Where
every Night
my soul cries itself to sleep Alone
and lonely My
soul is drowning and suffocating The
life out of My
heart God
you taught me to be kind Trust
friends, loved ones, and my one true love, I
follow your fundamentals Why
must my heart be torn apart? I
just want to soar with angel wings unto Heaven I’m
not angry that you handed me A
very painful trail From The
first day I was born Everyone
bestows sadness to My
soul It’s
been a very hard road to Follow
and survive when Everyone
takes pleasure in tearing Your
life apart I’m
not as strong as you believe God,
Today I
place my broken soul and shattered heart In
the palms of your Glorious Hands Please
put an end to my Drowning
Soul And
scatter tears of poetry Upon
my spirit Grant
me angel wings to soar Up
to heaven. Copyright
