To Stay Or Not To Stay

Well I admit it's true
I'm just trying to hide how it hurts
Sorry my mistake
You didn't have to point it out anyway
I have to say I'm used to it before
But don't deny it wasn't all my fault
What would you do I suppose
If you were in my shoes?

No I'm not trying to get out
I'm just simply pointing out about
How I'm just a normal person
With a right to be occasionally wrong
I'm not perfect
This I could easily say
And I am no saintly soul
So please don't try to keep me on a pedestal

And so please, won't you let me be
It's who I am, accept it or set me free
I can't hold on this I can guarantee
I won't settle for less or a maybe
Just a simple answer is all I need
To stay or not to stay?


Well I admit I was afraid
Feelings gone wild and disarrayed
Didn't want to choose so fast
Wanted this moment to last
And my heart well it's still gun-shy
But I did say I'd try
And I have to say it wasn't so easy
You were never the type to be easily swayed
And I got to say I wasn't any better
Too fast to jump on matters

Well it's a crazy ride so far
And we were even crazier at the start
Same weirdness in our own ways
But different likes and tastes
Oh how did it come to this?
Still can't believe how real this is
No matter how far I run
You still won't give up
Hope I could say the same this time
When you stayed far from my side

Now, I've been thinking so deep
I admit you could be so nice and sweet
But there are times I found so bad
How it felt to be smothered in your arms
I can't say I didn't like your touch
I just needed my space so much

But right now I am just tired
Of not speaking, of what you conspired
I can't say it hurts inside
But I can't say it's fine
Maybe it really is for the better
We stay away from each other
I'm not saying it's all over
I just think we need to find an answer
To stay or not to stay?
