A Poem by J Lorriane
"

A poem I wrote a few years ago, still one of my favorites.

"

She writes everything she dreams about,

because she doesn't know how to speak aloud,

trapt in her own thoughts,

pen on paper,

praying noone will read them.

She holds them tight with her,

like holding on to a sin,

she'll never let anyone in.

Staring out of a foggy window,

so many thoughts behind the glass,

all anyone can do is take a wild guess,

for what's behind her eyes.

She's the only one that knows what's on her mind,

always losing track of time,

caught up in a train of thought.

     Tuning out everyone,

                     and everything around.

I like this. It's very interesting how your text goes from larger to smaller. Hmmm....it's seems as if she is withdrawing into herself. I can relate! It seems I want to write more and more. Still it's a slippery slope, because life is for living and nothing (not even the joy of writing) should take the place of living one's life. Your poem makes me think and that's the beauty of poetry. Great job!

By the way, I hit the rate bar by mistake. I definitely wanted to give it a 90% not a 50. Sorry!

I like how you make the text smaller with each stanza, it fits the poem and it's very creative! I really enjoyed this poem because it fits so many writers out there. At least I know it does for me, anyway. The rhythm could use a little work, but it is a beautiful poem nonetheless.

Great piece. "She writes everything she dreams about, because she doesn't know how to speak aloud." I love this line it grabbed my attention instantly. I always turn to my journal to write my thoughts, dreams and feelings and until recently I never let anyone in, I really could relate.

I really enjoyed this one
I like what this brought to me
Simple little question of 'What is really in her heart" kind of feeling.
This is a very well writen and expressing write.
