existence

existence

A Poem by acidmonkey

Existence is no longer futile
Their laughter strikes like a viper
Haunting me in the shadows
I crumble within the words

I understand them now
I hate me too
laughing at my existence
laughing at how hard I tried

My laughter is only tears now
Staining my face
Draining my happiness
letting my fears rise

its easy to imagine that our fear rise above us, makes us blind that nothing seems to matter anymore or how our happiness is taken from us. Fear becomes fear itself, overcoming this is hard. Finding the light in the tunnel is not that hard, just listen to your good heart. very well expressed my friend.

Reading this reminded me of a bullying type situation. Having those around you put you down just for being who you are. But who are they to say who you're supposed to be, to live up to their expectations? As we grow older, others must understand that we can and should make our own rules. Simply because it is OUR life after all. Who's to try to control it? We shouldn't follow in anyone's path and the despair in this was simply...heartbreaking. It seems as if you do really seem to know and understand how it feels to be here, feeling these dark ways, but there is always a reason to hold on just alittle longer. You are stronger than you think.
