The SnailA Poem by SammiNot as it seems, more of a persnal pieceThe Snail slithers along Leaving behind its slimey trail Destroying farmers lettuces Flowers, spuds.
It feels so powerful Looking back at its aftermath Laughing and boasting To it's arse-kissing Slugs.
Nothing can stop it Its in control Or so it thinks...
Down soars a bird weightless and free seeing its prey seizing it between its tallons throwing it against a rock watching it fall breaking its hard shell revealing the snails sensitive skin soft unprotected the bird gulps it down its gone.
The destroyer has become the destroyed. © 2011 Sammi |
