Lullaby

Lullaby

A Poem by Sammi
"

I'm 16. I don't have a child. My parents rarely sang to me when i was little. But I still attempted to write a lullaby...ummm...

"

Don't cry baby girl,
mummy wants to see you smile,
daddy wants to see you fly,
don't you cry, don't cry.

Hush now baby girl,
you know you're safe next to me,
you know you can always be free,
hush up now, hush now.

Calm down baby girl,
you're gonna see a brighter day,
you're gonna see a brighter way,
calm it down, calm down.

Close eyes baby girl,
sleep in here safe and sound,
you know we're here we're around,
close your eyes, close eyes.

Sleep now baby girl,
mummy knows you need your rest,
to us you'll never be second best,
sleep tight now, sleep now,

sleep now baby girl.
