Unwanted Apocalypse

Unwanted Apocalypse

A Poem by Akroma

Just leave us alone
To mindlessly wander the cold, dark ground.
Don’t leave Your throne
Of perfection, protection
From all the evil we emit.

Don’t save us from our home,
Our filthy home.
No one wants to be rescued,
Taken away
From this hell hole.

You’re too late, I already sold my soul.
I will stay, bound in this dirt,
The beautiful air, the burning sun,
Leave me with my sins,
Earth is so much fun.

People praise
But I cry.
I would sooner fry
Than be robbed of my life.
You can’t have me!
If I feed the demons
While dancing with the Devil,
I might turn to stone,
I might be left alone.

Keep Your flawless reality
I’ll keep the flaws.
Let me keep them.
Shattered lives but everyone’s smiling,
Everyone’s sighing, everyone’s lying.
You see all, see this?
You hear all, hear this?
“Let us stay, let us stay,
Go away,
Not today,
A child’s on the way,
Save us another day!”

Go away, go away,
I want to live today.
And as I fight the flames,
I will call out Your name.
But You won’t leave Your throne,
And I will be all alone.

The pain of living, is often greater than the fantasy, perhaps fictional Nirvana that is believed to follow. Living in the moment is the only guaranteed pleasure we have. Even if it is hellish at times.

Wow, this is so relieving to say. You have the propensity for writing and I hope you develop yourself further. From the first few words I can tell that you and I are not very different ;) . A good writer!? On this website!? This bodes well for you, my new friend. :)
