A nauseating contortion

of metal and raw, unliving tissue

fueled only by guilt and unwilling masochism

Stapled into a whole, makeshift being

mutilated from the start

constantly disassembled, painfully.

Always ripe with unsewn incisions

other wounds charred shut

black and blue from the random assaults.

A putrid victim of circumstance

ever pitied, never cared-for
