been awhile

let us see if i remember how to do this
is this even something that I missed?
writing always made me feel complete
even if most of my thoughts repeat

it was always fun to create something new
even if some of my work simply blew
this really does not feel like it did before
maybe im to old to much of a bore

oh well i still feel slightly complete
even if my rhymes repeat and repeat

I'm sorry to hear that writing hasn't been making you as happy as it used to. We all have our days when we try our knack at writing again after forgetting about it. It's okay to be a little rusty after you haven't written in awhile. No writing can always be perfect, no matter how often we write. Sometimes it just takes a couple tries to get your writing groove back. Anyway, I hope you keep it up & continue writing. I really enjoyed this & im sure many other writers can relate to the feelings you've expressed.
