Grounded

Grounded

A Poem by Amanda Richelle

Here: I am planted.
Posture is reprimanded,
Seeking sun I become slanted.
Its existence taken for granted,
This nourishment is demanded.
While reach is expanded,
Buried feet leave me stranded.
