Stationary Journey

Stationary Journey

A Poem by Amanda Richelle

So eager to grow,
With infinite places to go,
Would I abandon all that I know?

What is really determined by my exact location?
Is wanderlust simply an excuse for vacation?
A legitimate reason to give in to temptation.

Realizing there is nowhere left to run:
It is a cop-out to disappear on everyone,
Seeking answers and learning- there are none.

Are the best journeys the stationary ones, or are the best journeys the ones taken on roads less traveled?
Both perhaps?
I like your stationary journey, it begins with questions and ends with an answer that ceases further questioning. Very nice, dear poet.
