Skin deep

Skin deep

A Poem by Amanda Richelle

What is beneath the skin actually exists,
An internal force that continues to persist,
Remaining tranquil even when dismissed-
Below the surface is merciless.
Intrigued by a clenched fist-
Fascinated by being kissed-
Aware enough to request the assist,
The physical form it does enlist,
Superficial and subterranean coexist.
