The coveted ride

The coveted ride

A Poem by Amanda Richelle

Endangered by being alive,
Engrossed in what it takes to thrive,
Generating blindness as I strive.

Enchanted by what others possess,
Effortlessly some are able to impress,
Grudgingly I accept I am less.

Essentially I need a guide,
Eternally I cannot hide,
Groping for a seatbelt on this ride.

Energized by routine action,
Existing with awareness of distraction,
Grounded by breath- coveting loses its attraction.
