Salutation

Salutation

A Poem by Amanda Richelle

Standing firm,
Calming extremities that want to squirm.
Beginning at the top-
Not letting the chest drop.

Straight spine,
Weight of the world is mine.
Releasing down-
Supporting the ground.

Reversing the flow,
Attention to the breath as I go.
Identifying with the Mother Earth-
Humbled by Her incredible worth.

Sighing so deep,
Arms sweep.
Stretching so far -
Forgetting what the obstacles are.

Feeling the vibration,
Appreciating the powerful sensation.
Bringing energy to the heart-
Opening arms wide for a fresh start.
