Tribute

A Poem by Amanda Richelle
"

As I was moving today I found an old journal entry. I wrote this as tribute to my existence back then (only a couple years ago). The lines in quotations are direct quotes from my journal entry.

"
"Today I didn't try"
Today I just keep asking why
Today I deserve to sit down and cry
Today all I care to do is deny

"Tomorrow will give me another route"
Tomorrow, when I'm irritated you will hear me shout
Tomorrow I will ignore doubt
Tomorrow: that's what I'm all about

"Yesterday was hopeless'
Yesterday- nobody noticed
Yesterday I betray who is closest
Yesterday I said tomorrow would be focused...

I like how through finding your old journal you gave life to a piece of written which you had forgotten about, the last stanza " "Yesterday was hopeless'
Yesterday- nobody noticed
Yesterday I betray who is closest
Yesterday I said tomorrow would be focused..." Was beautifully written and the rhyme scheme was very good.
