WishesA Poem by Brody LyonsA poem of desire for life beyond our world.
Sometimes I wish for the beauty of the stars to come back to me.
When I lay under them, I always feel as if I am free. Sometimes I wish for the skies to just fall down. I’ve got the feeling that it’ll be a good time to drown. Sometimes I wish for everything to just go away. I just want to linger with the stars and lay. Sometimes I wish for life to be better. There have been too many times I’ve thought the ending with a letter. Sometimes I wish these stars could glimmer inside of me. Maybe then I could be who I wish to be. Sometimes I wish for a new hope. I wish for Heaven and my soul to elope. Sometimes I wish for a new start. I don’t want anymore darkness in my heart. Sometimes I wish for Him to offer me a new plan. I just need an angel to grasp my hand. Sometimes I wish for the stars to shine. I want a golden altar to claim as mine. Sometimes I wish for a difference. …Just a difference. © 2013 Brody Lyons |
