Acceptance

A poem that just came to me. I'm dealing with a lot of crap, and I guess my feelings and thoughts congealed into this.

Accepting that 
you'll probably
end up young
and in a home.

accepting that
you'll be a 
whipping boy
forever. 

Sitting in your 
room clinging
to the only vices
that you have.

Smoking a 
cigarette to 
shave a few
years off your 
life. 

and ingesting 
caffeine to make 
life slightly more
tolerable.

You realize that 
your 19 and 
that one man
rightfully made
you give up on life 
forever.
