The Organic Machine

Fifth Element/5-27-11

                

 

The Earth was created as an organic machine,

Made up of elements, many not seen,

But the basic five elements are the topic for now,

And what they are and do anyhow.

 

First, there is fire, and all it’s degrees,

Then there is water, to help grow the trees,

Then we have air, for which we all need,

That leaves the earth, whose signs we should heed.

 

Now we get down to element number five,

It has awareness, it is alive!

It has the magnetism of a thing called love,

Its what we all believe, is from above.

 

These precious elements will always survive,

Because element number five, is alive,

This is creation, at Father’s best,

And this too, has just been a test.

The fifth element, quintessence, interests me greatly. I enjoy the movement of this poem. It seems to move from worldly to transcendental.
