From WhereA Poem by knowmanThe GardenWe awake into this world, Knowing no conscious thought, So it must be the garden, Where all things will be taught. As we grow we learn a lot, Of what is right and wrong. Both from Spirit and the Flesh, And the time it takes, is long. We once were of Pure Spirit, Of imagination, and of will, Then we developed a mighty Ego, Even before we could feel. Then we reached the abstract thought, And built the chamber of the mind, Then our thoughts became concrete, And much stuff, we begin to find. After all of this we find, We’ve reached the world of Desire, Then we developed bodies with, A system that seems much higher. Then finally we reach the physical plane, Where pain can now be felt, Where we are out of control, And our hearts seem to melt. This is the plane of Solids, And Liquid and of Gas, Where Breath, Blood, and Bone, Have all become dense mass. All of this is temporary, And soon will all be done, We return to Spirit, And believe me, it’s more fun. Knowman
