Without memories

Without memories

A Poem by Raine

memories cross my mind
Flowing with the winds
A soft pain grows inside
Stretching with any thought of you

The leaves fall as time passes
Darkness now creeps silently towards me
Pushing and rushing away the light,
The memories, they go with the sunlight too

Nightmares erupt from my sleep
Exploding in a mess of tears and screams
That pain now flourishes
Into unbearable pain like that of a thousand knives

Waking to cruel reality
The darkness before me
Blinds the memories you've left
I can't even reach for your ghost

With the phantom images of what used to be
I descend farther into my tunnel of isolation
Without you, my heart drops further
and my sense of life evaporates faster
And what's left is a hardended mess of me
