Braking

Braking

A Poem by absolutefolie

This is me

Moving on.

With a smile on my face, and

Running awa-

Running?

Yeah

Why?

I can’t deal with the feeling of knowing that

I’ll never be good enough.

But you were happy there,

With him.

If I don’t leave now,

I never will.

I mean,

It’s not even like we were ever together.

That’s the stupid thing.

I don’t get it. What’s the problem then?

The problem is

I loved someone who doesn’t love me back.

I waited for someone who would never wait for me.

My heart broke-

…brakes…

Still braking.

Still braking.

Still…

…Braking.

This was meant to be a conversation between me and my conscience, but I don't know if that really came across. It's the only thing that sums everything up at the moment so, comments would be appreciated :)

Oh i love this. Love conversations in poems anyway, but i love the way the second voice is questioning, but then they speak together, because that's the only thing that can really be said! So sad, but very good!

Hey there. This is where I keep all of the jumbled words in my head after I have organised them into pieces of writing. If you lend me some words of wisdom, I will happily return the favour! more..
