Psychotropic Night Screen

Psychotropic Night Screen

A Poem by Daleth Grey
"

a really old one, another repost from before the Fall of the Server

"

She sat at the desk
And read the horror on the screen
Day after day
Posture bending
Like an ancient tree
The white pixilation
Bleached her face the same colour
But her sorrow was smothered
In her new found friend’s comforting glance
Sometimes she imagined
Bony white fingers
Like the ones of her childhood nightmares
Curling in like desert night-leaves
To her spine
Visible more day by day
But the pale glow was an opiate
So beautiful nothing else
Was justified anymore
And she let her feet fall asleep
And her mind awaken
Every night
A little more
Of her soul was taken
