My Loves

My Loves

A Poem by abrose

My dears, what to write to you?
My loves, my life, my everything
What can I tell you, that you don't already know?
You are all I feel I need, although my rational mind tries to tell me otherwise
I don't like this waiting, for this to be made "real"
I don't need it as much as you'd think, as much as it sounds
I want nothing to do with pressuring you into anything
Or, to feel like you have to do anything to make me happy
I am alright, for the most part
I just want this so bad
I want to hold your hands, I want to kiss you, I want to sit half in your laps
But I also want the things nobody thinks of
I want to know how you wake up
I want to know what you would do if the washer broke
I want to see how you organize your closet
I want to eat the lunches you make
I want to have two different gallons of milk in the fridge
I want three boxes of cereal in the cupboard
I want to know how you make your tea
I want to know everything about you, no matter how small and insignificant
But I can wait
I will wait
