THE BUMA Poem by ablelazJust A fun poemWe can always be seen, down at Sherbert and Queen. All perched in the shade of the bank. With a look on our face like we own the dam place, But it’s only the alky we drank. The butcher the clerk they slave and they work. And worry ore debt they must pay. But when we’re full of booze, we just lie down and snooze And this troubled old world fades away. We just lie down and dream, of a bay rum canteen And we’re just laying there flat on the floor. The guy at the bar serves us drinks by the jar And we stagger to him for more. We have no big cars, just a butted cigar. The goods of the world we have none. But when we’re short of a dime, for a bottle of wine, We go to the corner and bum. © 2011 ablelazAuthor's Note
