Faceless AmoureuxA Poem by T.:)I dream vividly That’s why it wasn’t
surprising When I opened my eyes And saw Him
Him, my faceless lover Saw him smiling
vibrantly at me With a tray of food in
his hands Breakfast, maybe? I didn’t know I was too caught up on
his face Yes, he was faceless But I knew he was
striking
He laid the tray of food
on my lap And fed me
Whenever people watch
love stories Someone would get
irritated that the hero’s feeding his leading lady “Come on! She can do that herself! F****** romance!
Ugh!”
I was fully capable of eating
by myself I knew that heroines on
movies could too But, there’s nothing
better than knowing you’re being taken care of Knowing you are being treated
as the most precious jewel Delicate, treasured
After eating, we started
chatting No pretense, No white lies Just the real us
We’ve done plenty of
things that day All of which filled me
with a sense of euphoria Things I’d give up my
soul for It was the happiest day
of my life
But all too soon It’s gone He’s gone And I’m awake
And I’m back to
fantasizing again, The Day He’ll walk into
my life © 2014 T.Author's Note
