Chapter Six: PartnersA Chapter by dicey jonesthey meet...
He held out the carsidun quartz watch, it was the only thing he had that was still working perfectly...he wasn't so sure though if apparently his deteriorating brain wasn't playing cun on him. If he was arithmetically correct, today makes it three years, three months, twelve weeks, 93 days, 2192 hour... cut the crap, he was truly insane.
He wouldn't blame himself, no one would be in his position and be of sound mind. For three years, the darkness was his light. Hunger was satisfaction, pain was a pleasure and death a wish. The thought of one day returning back home was contemptible; a total vagueness. He regretted everyday the impulse that had driven him into the vilest and most evilest of any man's fear...he regretted, but he was happy. If he was going to die, they were dying with him. He smiled, the allure of death now seemed appealing. His stomach was aching, the tiny little barbaric worms are already feasting on the only thing they could find; his intestines. He climbed higher up the tree, only if he could find something to eat, anything the ache that was consuming him might decline. The reddened "duruwa" stared directly at him, like a dare urging him to come forward. He wanted to, but the sounds of twigs coming from below made him froze... seizing every motion in his body apart from the flow of thoughts. He hid behind the bigger trunk of the tree, pulled out an arrow from his case. He knew his aim wouldn't be perfect...a mistake you might never live to correct, he was doing this error proof. The image came closer, a position directly under him...he let himself free off the branch. Micheal felt the hitch on his shoulder, impulsively he turned to scratch it off. F**k he hated the crazy bush ant of the forest... he hated this pain more. he screamed "what the f**k!" he saw the blood flowing from his wound he screamed even louder, blood was a freakish liquid. He watched the smooth faced man, was he really a man or a boy...that left aside, what the f**k was he doing in the forest. "Who are you?" Micheal was furious, the man was obviously crazy, he harms people he doesn't even know. He looked more of an animal than a man. "Don't come any closer zombie, if you must know i have a black belt in karate" He laughed, this guy has no clue on even throwing a punch. "Seriously... I killed a bear with on blow" "I don't think so" "well apparently i know someone who did, name is David" "What's your name mister" he said sternly "Miche..al" he stuttered. 'Well Micheal i think you should get the hell up, and lets move away from here" "Why should i follow you, you tried to kill me" "Which i missed, and if you plan on living, i'd advised you stop bitching around and follow me" "You still haven't answered my question mister. Why should I" "Cause i am the only one who can keep you alive..." His watch blinked, the time for a complete trace was getting closer... Micheal watched the horror in his face "What?" "They are coming!" "Who" "The things that will hang your genitals for trophies" He wanted to laugh, he had this joke before. "The lady said the same thing...i'm British for christsake i know odd humor." Micheal didn't realize the bow hitting him on the fore-head leaving him unconscious. The weight was heavy but he had to save him...for now. © 2013 dicey jones |
