Chapter Two: Interested?

Friends are bodies with one soul

 Hong Kong. China.
Life sure has a bang about it. The idea everything started with the big bang shouldn't be so confusing. One moment we are aware of everything and in one flick Bam! - we lose count. He had lose count, born in Asian made in American, his parents had sent him to live with his uncle in the most powerful, most competitive city in the world, against all challenges he succeeded made it out alive. Now he comes back home, the mass movement of people, the ever shouts of "Ni hao"  "xinghui!"   and the weird alphabets placed on every door and wall, made him love china.

His phone rang. Who could possibly be calling this late, it couldn't be drake, had tried contacting him. Everyone said he hadn't been around for years...maybe he was working on some badass program, next week will make it three years. Too long for any kind of program,  but who knows, guy was the next generation windows. It maybe his downstairs neighbor who had told him  times over to get Megaton his  furry cat off her farm...can't blame her, cat sure looks scary.

"Nin hao" he had learned the basics.
"Cut the crap, Men"

He thought he might be dreaming, only one person interchanged the 'W' for 'M'. Only one person person was rude enough to disturb his sleep, but then again he had been unreachable proving what he heard.

"Ado, i thought you died, basically people said you did after the pretty girl broke your heart"
"Like i said cut the crap. Men" laying emphasis on the name.
"Yea sure Ado. You know i didn't find it hard knowing it was you...always have a way of stealing a man rest."
"You still sleeping? It's morning!" spoke half jokingly
"Dumb a*s, wetin dey  for me now" intentionally speaking Africa jargon.
"How about a get together of friends thought you might be interested"

There was pause on the line...this might be his chance.

"You mean a meeting with wolves, am in! Ado." Enjoyed the mock in his tone
"there's be something i'd been meaning to ask you"
"What?" he hoped it wasn't about her
"When willyou realize my name ends with an 'E' not 'O'?
"When you realize my starts with a 'W'."

They both laughed, it was there own personal joke. Thankgod it wasn't about her, feared he might have heard since apparently he wasn't dead...couldn't wait to see him, only how would he bear the idea of it. He wouldn't, he was the craziest person he knew.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

London, United Kingdom.

Why everyone loved this place was beyond him. The country bores him, especially the idea of a Queen like it was a Bees hive. Everyone speaks with an accent, something they enjoyed aside the fact they also had an horrid way of cracking jokes. Yet he knew the peaceful environment, the wide acceptance of culture was one reason most people would put 'Travel to London' on there 100 things to do before i die. Yuck.

His phone rang, he waited until it was on the third ring. He had a philosophy
ONE: unimportant, might be an idiot kid playing with a phone
TWO: Important, a colleague warning you of an angry customer
THREE: emergency, someone calling to tell you the world just ended.

"Hello who is it?" Tried to fake the accent,  the world probably isn't sinking.
"Cut the crap Mike. It's Me" the voice boomed.

The world hasn't ended, she wouldn't call to warn anyone of that. No she wouldn't. He should drop the call.

"Don't even think about it." the voice commanded.
How was she able to read my mind?! 'What do you want Sophie?"
'Don't you miss me?" not wanting for an answer, she spoke on. "Black called me, said he wanted a get together of friends, he wanted to tell you himself, only i told him it better if i told you instead. So what say you?'

Black was supposed to be dead, that's what people said...something he never found funny. How can a black man die for love?. One thing was for sure, whatever she was into, he wouldn't join. If she went to heaven, he'd book a flight to hell.

"Am not interested' making sure his denial was plain, even if he wasn't sure...he still liked her.
"Come on mike, thought they say you Briton are forgiving"
"They are, am not. Bye Soph" He dropped the line, knew he had betrayed himself. He just called her Soph.

She smiled, typed on her phone 'He's interested' and pressed the send button. This is goining to be one hell of a meeting...three years. Three years of increased weirdness, craziness. Extremely dangerous.
