Chapter 1
When i arrived at Crashwire high, I expected nothing. Nothing UN-normal, just Normal. But you see, that's where I went wrong. I remember the moment I walked into those doors into the over-crowded hallways with girls fiddling with their consciously, making sure its still in place. Boys talking about how they 'hit it' with a girl last night and how they had detention from  banging a door with word. Seems normal, doesn't it? Jocks, Cheerleader, Stuck-up girls who think they are better than anybody and Geeks who look around hesitantly for any Bullies who might walk into their path. I took in a deep breath as i walked into the reception

I walked up to the desk to see a old woman with long grey hair which was tied up a scruffy bobble. She pushed her glasses down her nose and took a look at me.
"Whats your name, dear?" She said smiling at me.
"Er, my name is Lydia." I replied, watching as her expression turned to recognition. She looked at her hazy computer screen and she smiled again when she looked back up at me.
"Ah yes, your new here to Crashwire high, am i right?" She said.
"Yes, your right" i said, smiling back politely.
"How do you pronounce your name, is it Ley-day-a?" she said,I think I could hint a Irish accent in her deep tone.
I sighed impatiently "Li-dee-ya" I said, biting back my impatient expression but i knew that my sigh gave it away.
"I'm so sorry, dear. I'm such a old bird, it takes me a while to remember things now and then. Here's your schedule and some papers your parents may need to sign when you get back home" she said, handing over a piece of paper which said 'History' at the top.
I felt like screaming.

After a LONG conversation to Mrs.Missington (the receptionist) about how her children were.
How did that even start? I mean, the conversation?

As i slouched around a couple of hallways, i walked into a room which was indulged by light coming through the window where the sun shine high up in the sky.

Not many people seemed to notice my presence, actually, cut that. NOBODY noticed my presence. I looked across the class and saw a spare desk which shone near the window. I walked over to the desk, put my bag on the side of the desk, and relaxed until i heard the first bell go off.
RING!
There it went.

A rush of people came flooding in, a girl with long blonde hair looked over at me and smiled a very big smile that reached to her eyebrows. She skipped over to me and sat next to me.
She had her long hair tied into tight curly bunches and had startlingly blue eyes and freckles that covered her face.

She giggled "Hi my name is Emma. But you can call me Emzi. Or Em-wah, actually, i dont care what you call me. Anything what you want" she said, smiling.
"My name is Lydia, you can call me Lidi" I said simply.
She giggled. Again. Jesus, she was like a laugh-machine, I was definitely not used to the giggly-type.
"Ohmigosh, i love your hair, I always wanted black sexy hair" she said , laughing. I think i heard a edge of nervousness in her laugh, worried if i would have a angry reply.
"Really? I have always hated my hair. People like it, but i would rather be bald" I said, smiling.
"Ha ha, Right. I really believe that" she replied, at the same moment the door opened.

My heart stopped.

My head spinned.

A tall guy, around 16 which is my age, walked through the door. He wore black shredded jeans, a black vest top and had black spiky hair and grey mysterious eyes.
He walked swiftly and graceful like a cat to the desk near the back. My eyes followed him, at one point, He looked back at me with bored eyes for 1 second and i felt myself go hot all over. I started turning into one of those girls this morning, touching my consciously to make sure it didn't look like a hay stack. Before a looked away, i saw a sneaky grin spread on his face.

From that exact moment, I knew my life was going to change.

And I was right.

It does sound very much like TWILIGHT :). It's kind of cute, though. I am curious what will happen next.

This has potential, but it is lost beneath grammar errors and some confusing tidbits. Near the end, I think the boy could be described better. But since you said to "ignore" such things in your author's note, I will not go hardcore editor on you like I usually do. And stop fretting, not every young-adult story has to be similar to Twilight; I believe you are worrying over nothing.

I think this would do better as a book. Because as a story, it really has little to offer. Because the last line is rather...anticlimatic. Like, "Bob died. The end." It leaves a lot to be desired, so I suggest you work on this. In your narrative, I can see you have a great deal of creativity, so it would be a shame to leave this story as is.
