The Burnt BridgesA Poem by AbhishekizyA sorry state of an addict who lost everything in lifeIt's almost over an year now, I still sit warm and upright, Lost all my sleep of midnight. And those dreams got denied. All those calmness I tried, lost my anger and cried. That deep scar on my thighs, healed but why pain just don't dry. I lied and still lie. I've tried and still try. The memories, ain't falling shutter on my mind. It's calling me by names,It's chasing from behind, Like a demon assigned, to hunt one of my kind. Confined, designed. My hope is so dead and perfectly blind. I remember your smile when you pinched on my cheeks, Those fingers mystique, when ran through my physique. Your skin all on mine, and you kissed like a freak. Like we would eat up each other, against verde antique. We were so one, in so much love and so close, And it froze, I suppose when I started showing up, In shadows, with always powder on my nose. And clothes. You rose and chose. And all left of you were my table photos. I still knew no brain, and I still didn't realize, Despise, those advice . I still woke up with a darker sunrise. I got in pub crawl, alcohol and almost dead in a brawl. In blood and stitches,I got in rehab for the character downfall. Today, this heart still misses. Little happiness of those stolen kisses. While the life still wait scared, By the side of those broken bridges. © 2017 AbhishekizyAuthor's Note
