The RainbowA Poem by Abhay KashyapA poem about a single mother..
Her hair sways to the randomness of this breeze and dances..
Her beauty such that the surrounding autumn cries out for my attention by shedding leaves.. She cares less though and keeps talking to her little daughter like she understands.. Both silhouetted against the grey sky and falling leaves, against playing kids and the flowing breeze.. Full of emotions and deprived of motion, a blissful silence is all i hear.. With every cry her daughter cries, her arms in love bring her near.. She still smiles through her tears, still innocently careless about autumn's fears.. Like the gloomy rain in her life has found the sun, and conspired to become a rainbow.. I dont see a ring on her finger, could be divorce, abandonement or death.. Maybe her happiness, is just the voice of her experience telling her to love whatever's left.. It starts to rain and i choose to immerse, and she chooses to find a roof.. Choosing to enjoy this moment like she just did, and wish for my own rainbow.. © 2014 Abhay KashyapAuthor's Note
