Midnight SonataA Poem by abhasWhispering kisses, sparkling tears, The radiance of your eyes, Keys on the floor, where we met before, The bliss of beautiful lies,
The fragrance flows Form a sullen rose, And whom does it dignify, The breeze, it shall show, Smile at the things you know And none will it deny,
There was an ocean of noise That we couldn’t hear the voice Of nostalgia Bringing us together,
Perfection was relative term Or there was no term at all To speak of the dreams We desired together,
The midnight sonata of your peace, Whence I lived to see the Sun, Innocent touch and silent craving Let us surf in a cloud of reveries,
In words we lived, in words we died, In words we caressed, in words we cried, In ink we’d swim, in pages breathe, When the world slept, we’d rise from beneath,
For lost causes and love our lives entwined, As life unfurls, we seem to have outgrown, The broken hourglass rhymed in time,
The bridges we have created, the seeds we have sown, My love, Are we in love with the unknown? © 2011 abhasFeatured Review
