The Timekeeper.A Poem by abhasthe one man who is always eager to know the time right now.Silent on the stone of remembrance, Sits the lonely man, Skin peeled from his hands, Shows the wasted years,
People marching by, Some care to look, Some find it hard to try, But there he sits... all alone,
The Time keeper, Washes away the offal evil That we breed on the streets, There he sits, there he sleeps, With time left to eat!
The passing by breeze Is reminded of the hour That He spends in every hair turned grey, And his family spent in cower,
Lives and dreams have touched the face, Shrivelled in-justice, Beyond the doors of pleasure, Only Time has lived,
The Time keeper, Can’t buy a clock, None to tell His broom thin legs trod only so far, For his art was too evil to sell,
Behind the sickening veil we hide, In the nauseous normalcy we drape, ....As we live on,
Only Time shall Escape... © 2011 abhasFeatured Review
