Unusual Rain...A Poem by abhasIt was an unusual rain, Stormy gusts and cold drops on shoulders, Last day all of us were wearing, The gear that we loved so much,
Eyes red, bulged, teary, He said the Heavens should cry, What I saw was a little kid, He was right... the heavens did...
Those smell of wet clay on the sidelines And relaxed pitch black roads, In front of something that would never again be, Adorned by the sodium lamps that made it surreal,
And now on such rainy, rainy nights, When they tell me, what’s so new? I don’t understand their frowzy lines, For all my emotions get reduced to a few... © 2011 abhasFeatured Review
