Most of you...

Most of you...

A Poem by abhas

So this is the way you chose,

A few cold words over a budding rose,

A few badges over another life,

But someday you’ll know...

You knew when I pretend,

Now I know you pretend,

And I oscillate through the hierarchy of time,

To see the end in a better light,

I could only wait,

For you to say no,

For futile positives hurt even more,

From the day when love became a chore,

If my words could speak,

The mountains would cry,

But alas! A human!

Led my soul to dry,

Sure I will wake up one day,

Scream with music,

Fly with angels,

Everything shall be climactic,

And someday we’ll be walking down the same street,

When my eyes transfix the sky,

To miss you passing by,

That day you’ll lose a bit of me...

...But most of you
