The Master's Clock...

The Master's Clock...

A Poem by abhas
"

Time Kills... and what could be Time proof...

"

Silent waves emanate from a lifeless clock,

The song of winter adheres to the lock,

Sea horses and radiant angels come alive,

Out of my depths... out of their hive,

The strings of imagination weave this fabric,

A little pain, a little love or may be just nothing will do the trick,

Hard to comprehend what it’s trying to achieve,

When ambitions keep shifting, horizon is the thing to believe,

The words go dry and sink in the page,

Fight for their place, run riots in rage,

I long to go on this drive,

It seems, after ages, that I’m still alive,

The Byronic man now perceives the light,

Silent heroes win another fight,

Lovers cry for they are not real,

And love cries for it can’t feel,

The clock grows loud, the night goes weird,

The lines get blurred between the worshipped and feared,

This world appears through a keyhole,

My dreams are on the stage and life plays its role,

All surfing the waves... carried to eternity,

And ends at your face so serene... so pretty,

I could live a lifetime tonight if you want,

But it’s nothing without a goodbye I learnt,

The water’s so dry, winter’s cold as the devil’s heart,

All my goals diffused, nothing left to start,

Emotions trapped within walls... without bricks,

Let my words live as I drown... as the Master’s clock ticks...

. wow ... excellent title ... excellent flow ... excellent ending ... yes, we shall let your words live ... but we shan't let you drown ... (under water life won't be able to handle your words :P) ... the struggle to find a purpose ... to fill all the dimensions of existence ... to determine the right actions ... that may impact the future well ... is a struggle that is consuming ... and you express so beautifully ... and as that clock ticks ... the greatest challenge is to not get affected by the ticking ... and continue to wonder and wander in life ... without getting impatient ... and you have that bit right too ... patience is not something we love ... but it is something that we have ... like a close friend ... beautiful writing, abhas ... any reader would be able to connect to these words ... time means something to everyone ... and there's something in this poem of yours for everyone ...

You create a positive and beautiful vision with your words. Each set of lines could stand on their own. I like the feel and the emotion in the words. A very good ending to a outstanding poem. Thank you.
