My Crime...A Poem by abhasWhen you turn your thoughts upside down... you'll be wishing you didnt...Where ever I go Nature moves away, The same fake reasons for which saints stop to pray, These places were never meant for me, But through numerous deaths here I’ve come to be, My troubled senses were deprived of choices, There was pain still in familiar faces, I wasn’t scared for adrenaline was too afraid, And I couldn’t take back what I had said, The sands of sorrow blows through the dunes of time, All I had to do was make the entwined fate-strings rhyme, Home was distant and my thoughts grew wild, I was in the same place but my feet were agile, Come and greet me and you shall know, How to make melancholy’s flood flow, Leaves were gone... thorns left behind, None could prevent to abet my kind, Oysters washed up on the sea bed, Give it life or have the pearl instead, Astounds belief for they were never meant to be, It was rather a crime to be happy, The Devil’s grin sparkles in Erebus’ cold, Bitter faces, grumpy eyes and hearts of gold, Fossils of life lay in skeletons of Time, Suffering’s delight in a popular crime... © 2010 abhasFeatured Review
