The thorns of selfishness plants its seed,

Hands up & heads down for my own greed,

How can I run, how can I hide?

All roads lead to the same place,

All fingers point to the same face,

To see my life going in vain,

To feel that I am going insane,

 

I’ve tried so hard and I won’t quit now,

I’ll jump forward to save you somehow,

For if I don’t then I won’t survive,

And lie to the known faces that I’m still alive,

 

I won’t let the steel tear you apart,

I won’t let this blood create hollow art,

Right or wrong were fake choices for me,

The plunge I took to a dawn of glee,

 

Now light and colours adorn the sky,

Worthless moments pass me by,

In this sacrifice I’ve come to meet my soul,

In your tears I have found life’s only goal,

 

The angels play such a pretty game,

I’m not with you but it’s still the same,

To live after death is no more a crime,
