Now to RealityA Poem by abhasjust feelings about the world we live inIt feels so
dizzy and can’t move my head, Seems as if
I am drugged dead, Tell me a
fable where no children cry for a mother, And put me
off to sleep when my soul craves for another, Resounding
voices echo in my head, Shunned by
holiness I read satanic verses instead, Pupil
dilates with visions of apocalyptic dark red skies, Screaming
till my inners greet me with forsaken goodbyes, Beneath the
skin Hell is alive and well, Premature
twisted emotions are rarely tractable, Sophistry
takes thee over to find gold dust, And stanches
the sinuous nectar of one-eyed lust, Partisans of
wilderness growl against philistine tribes, Into perigee
of nothingness haunts unreal lives, Glossy
plastic burns with noisome taste, Another
artist’s resume goes to waste... Obloquy of
society seems to heal thy morals, Metamorphosis
of words into action’s rivals, Macerate
into the darkness for not-so-well-endowed, The foliage
of space-time says this is what it’s all about... For if thou
crave for a mellifluous flow of unconditional morality, If thou
think thy art a slave of inveterate tyranny, Take thy
indolent steps to damned world of grief, Where
friends and foes of the Holy ones in the same bed sleep... © 2010 abhas |
