Spring '11

Spring '11

A Poem by CherryBomb

Your green eyes roaming late springs air
My fake smile performing as if I don't care
As time flares the stranger in you grows
I hope; forever we won't stay foes
Permanent memories build so strong
I cannot believe I've been holding on for this long
Exchanging awkward glances in silent
As it kills me; considering its extremely violent
Missing your sweet hushed voice
How did I possibly make that choice?!
Picked the liked over desire
Just because I accused you of being a liar
I dream of that bench where we first met
As I introduced myself 'Hi I'm Paulette'
Or what about that second hello?
When you had a large hug to bestow
Your sweet smell of fall
Is what I mostly recall
That first gentle kiss on my cheek
Made my entire body weak
When our lips touched
I promise; I felt your heart rush
We'd sit in silence for awhile
Guessing when my mom will dial
We used to speak 24-7
You said I'm an angel from heaven
You'd lie in a text
Starting a whole big mess
I'd say were finished
But we weren't diminished...
We made up the following night
Than we started another fight
My feelings may be unclear
I wish you can hear;
The tears behind this poem
Well enjoy your freedom.
