Oh, Thanks!

Oh, Thanks!

A Poem by CherryBomb

I saw it,

In the past, I saw the future; Present,

I pictured everything to be lonley, and quiet,

Only possible thing to hear from eight miles away were my cries,

I saw caos

I saw my broken heart

I knew it.

In the past, I knew the future; Present,

It's horrid to realize I saw it coming,

But did nothing to prevent it.

I knew when you left you'd find another girl.

You did.

Shes beautiful,

So thats it?

Were done?

I didn't do anything wrong; Just love you.

I understand that your 1,661 miles away,

What do I expect?

For me to keep you forever?

Sad to see you makin love,

With another girl,

So fast.

You were only gone for a week,

I pictured everything to be wrong.

Suprisingly? Im smiling,

Honestly? Id never get over the s**t you are if you havent told me.

Thanks.

This was a really hard-hitting poem! Your emotions came across really strongly, and I thought that it was that raw intensity behind your words that made it so effective. There were moments where I found myself feeling a little confused about what you were trying to say, and there were a few spelling mistakes, but other than that, this was a pretty solid write. :)

Very nice. Relationships are always complicated; distance relationships are even more so. You've expressed yourself well here.

A nice poem. You have transposed the l and the e in lonely third sentence

It is a sad fact that no matter how much we try to make someone love us, or how much we love them, you can't make someone love you. You can live a life of love, you can treat someone you love with respect and trust, but it has to be mutual. Distance relationships are tough because you miss out on the little endearing things that keep the spark alive. Sometimes in relationships like this... it's best to tip your hat, smile and say "Thanks" and move on.
Nicely done.

By the way caos... is spelled chaos
